Incorporated on July 1, 1999, the Town of Edgewood is located in the southwest portion of Santa Fe County, New Mexico. At that time, the population was about 1,800 people. In the ensuing 25 years, the community expanded through a series of annexations and slow growth to its current population of about 6,300 residents within town limits. Edgewood is the geographic, retail, and healthcare services hub of the East Mountain /Estancia Valley region, serving a population of 60,000. While residents appreciate the availability of services, the community also strives to maintain its small-town feeling and rural character.
