Edgewood's Fire and Emergency Management Services have been provided through an agreement with Santa Fe County. That 2005 Joint Powers Agreement is scheduled to conclude on June 30, 2026, marking a significant step forward for Edgewood’s long-term planning and service delivery. It restores local control and positions the community for a stronger, more accountable, and secure future.
The Town is already working toward a smooth transition to ensure continued public safety and service reliability for all residents. Both parties have committed to cooperating to ensure uninterrupted fire and emergency services during the transition.
