The Town Clerk-Treasurer/Deputy Manager is the records custodian and financial controller for the Town of Edgewood.
Under the delegated authority of the Commission, the Clerk-Treasurer/Deputy Manager maintains custody of all official Town records, serves as Secretary to the Governing Body and Financial Controller for the Town, manages human resources, coordinates with the County Clerk for local elections, and assists with the management of day-to-day municipal operations for optimal service to the community.
Ms. Witt has extensive experience in finance and accounting, management, human resources, economic development, business incubation, facilities management, and customer service. She has actively worked in the finance and accounting field for over 17 years serving both private and public sectors and holds a Master's Degree in Accountancy. Most recently, Ms. Witt served as Deputy County Manager and Finance Director for Torrance County, New Mexico, where she gained valuable experience with managing local government. Ms. Witt has been a New Mexican since 2010, and an Edgewood resident for more than 14 years. She is an active member of the East Mountain community and has served on various committees and boards.
