The Community Liaison is the public information and constituent services officer for the Town.
Linda Burke was appointed to the Community Liaison role by Edgewood's Governing Body in April 2024. Under the delegated authority and direction of the Commission, she is the public information officer for the Town, manages communications and media relations, policy development, constituent services, community engagement, and participates in strategic planning and complex projects. She works toward the goals and objectives of the governing body and community in day-to-day municipal operations for optimal service to the community. Ms. Burke also performs additional duties as Deputy Town Clerk on an as-needed basis.
Liaison Burke has more than 20 years' management experience in communications and public relations, project management, economic development, and human resources. She has held leadership roles in corporate and non-profit organizations, including recently as executive director for the Greater East Mountain Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Burke is a summa cum laude graduate of Fort Lewis College in Colorado; and holds a business degree from El Camino College in California.
A New Mexican by choice, Ms. Burke has lived in Edgewood for more than 13 years. She has been an active volunteer and board member for numerous youth and community organizations.
