Summer Reading Is Here!
We've had to change it up a bit this year (for obvious reasons) by offering our annual Summer Reading Program in a different format as the library will remain closed to the public throughout the summer. Even if you don't have access to reading materials or our digital resources at home, we'll be offering curbside services and virtual events until further notice. This way you can still reserve and pick up some wonderful books related to this year's theme, Imagine Your Story. For each 15 minutes your child reads or you read to your child, add a sticker to a reading tracker (enclosed in packet). For every reading tracker your child completes he/she will earn a prize from the library! Reading tracker participation will, without a doubt, help your child avoid the summer slide.
Every Thursday at 10:30am until 12:00pm throughout the Summer Reading Program, June 4 - July 30, a librarian will be waiting curbside to collect completed reading trackers and hand out prizes. You can grab another tracker and stickers to log more hours for more prizes until the end of the program.
You'll notice on the back of the reading tracker you have the option to enter your child's name into a Grand Prize Drawing occurring Saturday, August 1, 2020! We'll be sure to give you a call or send a message to make pick-up arrangements if your child is one of the lucky winners.
Don't forget to stop by the library parking lot on Thursdays from 10:30am - 12:00pm beginning June 4, 2020 until July 30, 2020 to:
- Pick up your Summer Reading Program Packet
- Drop off completed reading trackers
- Pick up blank reading trackers
- Pick up a prize for turning in a reading tracker
