Parks & Recreation

Purpose

Parks & Recreation is dedicated to providing a variety of quality recreational opportunities; while promoting a positive conservation ethic towards our parks, trails, and open spaces.  The Parks & Recreation department is always working towards developing more recreational opportunities for the community!  Learn about seasonal community Special Events and discover upcoming town events on the Calendar.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee

The Parks & Recreation Committee meets regularly. As they work to get projects and programs established or caught up after a years-long gap in P&R appointments, the newly-appointed Committee is meeting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month in the Commission chambers at Town Hall (171A State Hwy 344, Edgewood).  Alternately, if Commision Chambers are in use, Parks & Recreation Committee will meet in the P&R Office (follow hallway through the Library, then left).

See P&R Meeting Agendas and Minutes for more details.

The committee wants to know what your recreational interests and needs are and how they can accomplish them. Share your ideas and suggestions by attending a Parks & Recreation Committee meeting or contact the department directly at (505) 286-4518.
